Fundraising

As you will no doubt be aware, sport makes a unique contribution to University Life and to our wider society. From your own time competing and playing for your club, you will understand the pressures faced by our current student athletes. As sport increasingly professionalises so too does the strain on time and costs to those students and clubs wishing to compete at the highest level.

This places a tremendous burden on our clubs and athletes who have the potential to attain sporting success. At Edinburgh we continually strive to ensure that every club and student athlete is given the opportunity to achieve their full sporting potential and we play our part in ensuring there is a legacy from 2012’s Olympic Games for future students, continuing into and beyond the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

To do this we need your help and support. Whether you choose to donate directly to your former sports club, to our scholarship programme or to the wider work of the Sports Alumni Association, your financial support will allow our clubs and student athletes to continue achieving greatness on the world sporting stage.

Use the links below to make a single gift or a regular pledge towards the Sports Alumni Association. These donations are invested in Sports Clubs with innovative ideas and new initiatives and over the last 18 months we have been able to split £6,000 between 5 sports clubs resulting in tangible benefits to improve sporting opportunity at University.
